We support Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge and promote appreciation and conservation of wildlife and habitat.

The Friends are a model organization within the wildlife conservation community. We raise sufficient funds and support for Bosque del Apache to be able to maintain the level of conservation and leadership required to ensure that the wetlands and wildlife that they support are sustained.

The Friends’ 10-year strategy connects to Friends’ mission & vision and will use acquired funding to support these distinct activities — Ringing the ALARM:

• Move from Advocacy to Activism: Focus on State-level as well as Federal-level institutions.
• Provide soft Leadership to support the refuge: Friends org communicates the tough messages that the refuge cannot (as they work for Fed’l government).
• Choose our “close” partners based on Alignment of values/mission, local focus, and mutual attraction & benefit.
• Create separate focus group for Water issues to manage partnership with NMT.
• Review all major Resource allocations, including Regen Ag.
• Strengthen the Board with relevant expertise & networks.
• Mission accomplished if we can achieve all of the above!

We aim to inspire the next generation of conservationists and embrace different ways of stewarding this land. We welcome your ideas about future opportunities and support.
