Annual Photo Contest
Every year, Friends of Bosque del Apache invites photographers to submit their favorite Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Rufuge photos. Winning photos will be displayed at the Bosque del Apache Visitor Center atrium prior to and through the Festival of the Cranes and throughout the year until the next winners from the Photo Contest are selected.
The contest consists of these four categories:
1) Sandhill cranes
2) Wildlife
3) People
4) Landscapes
The 2023 Crane Fiesta Photo Contest runs from July 30th to October 1st.

Once again, we were overwhelmed by the dozens of stunning photos that were entered in our 2022 Photo Contest! We’d like to thank everyone who submitted their amazing photos, which so perfectly capture the magic of Bosque del Apache! We’d also like to thank our judges, who had the nearly impossible task of choosing the winners from the pool of very impressive entries!
