Explore a beautiful display of quilts in the lovely setting of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Socorro! You will find an extraordinary array of handmade quilts that are elegantly draped among the pews of the church. This unique quilt display is sponsored by the Socorro County Fiber Arts Guild and hosted by the Methodist Church.
Enjoy light refreshments in the fellowship hall while shopping for handmade Christmas gifts crafted by local fiber artists. No need to register for this event! Come and go as you please!

Romantic Metamorphosis
Nomad ensemble will present a program entitled Romantic Metamorphosis, featuring works by Beethoven, Mendelsshon and Schubert, curated by Socorro local Eric Sewell on violin, with Lisa Donald on cello, Cory McBride on viola and Liana Austin on violin.
The second concert of the Presidential Chamber Music and World Series is offered as a Free – Pay As You Wish concert to the central NM community.

Bird Trivia at the Capital Bar
Think you know your birds? Want to test your bird nerdiness? Join Friends of Bosque del Apache along with birding expert Holly Merker and Socorro’s local bird nerd Amy “Birds” Erickson for a night of Bird Trivia at the Capitol Bar and Brewery.
Show up early as we will limit participation to 12 teams of 6 players each! There is no pre-registration for this event.

VLA Saturday – Public Guided Tours
The VLA hosts free public guided tours each Saturday at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm. Advance admission required (purchase here) but no tour reservation necessary. Just head to the Visitor Center auditorium to join you preferred time. These tours last approximately one hour and give visitors unique insight into the past, present, and future of the VLA.
