Leslie Clark

Leslie was elected to the board in 2026.  She is a retired school principal and now works at New Mexico Tech as a STEM education coordinator. She has over twenty-five years of experience in academia, with expertise in leadership and motivation. In all her roles, Leslie worked closely with boards, staff, families and community partners, managed budgets and programs, and supported initiatives focused on education, outreach and long-term sustainability.

In her current role at New Mexico Tech, she continues to design and support educational programming and partnerships. Leslie’s experience and skills in public speaking, strategic planning, verbal and written communication, community engagement and faculty collaboration will serve the Friends board well. Leslie lives in San Antonio, near Bosque del Apache, and she is passionate about the refuge’s role in conservation, education and community connection.
