Leigh Sellari

Elected to the Board in 2026, Leigh is a recently-retired federal senior executive experienced in organizational leadership and natural resource management. A resident of Corrales, Leigh is deeply invested in New Mexico’s conservation landscape. Throughout her career, including her tenure as a Regional Attorney for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Leigh specialized in building consensus among diverse groups to support sustainable land use and providing legal and strategic guidance involving natural resources across the Mountain West. In addition, Leigh brings nonprofit governance experience through her service as a board officer for one of the state’s largest horse rescue organizations.

Leigh holds a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University and a Master of Natural Resources from Virginia Tech. She is honored to bring her passion for wild lands to the Friends of Bosque del Apache.
